Personal Growth, Global Impact

by Meghan McChesney Gilroy

My process of personal growth and spiritual transformation has not only benefited me personally, but also all of humanity, and Mother Earth. How? Read on…

in-teg-ri-ty: the state of being whole and complete

It took many years for the concept of integrity – the state of being whole – to trickle down from my mind and resound soundly in my body. Thunk! Clear, clean mind = Authentic emotions = Relaxed, healthy body. Well-being abounds. A decade later, this centered, complete feeling now radiates out of me and extends to everyone I meet, to all life forms, and to our planet.

Using the same awareness that created personal well-being inside of me, I now see how my external actions can create well-being in my environment – in my home, community, and on the planet Earth. Becoming a mother further amplified my awareness, my love, and my knowledge about the lasting impact my actions have on the place where my child will live, grow, and need to survive long after I am gone.

Now that I live from a place of integrity, I no longer see my self as separate from any other human, life form, or from the planet. I feel connected to everything – to my individual body, my emotions, my spirit, my fellow humans, and to my collective “body” the Earth. The love that I have for myself is so vast that there is an abundance: plenty for others - those I know personally and those on the other side of the globe – as well as more than enough for the Earth.

Now feeling “whole” isn’t just about me, it’s inclusive. It’s about you and your well-being. It’s about the well-being of each individual in all of humanity. And it’s about the place where we all live and call home, the Mother, Earth.
